Topic: Vitamin B-12 and metabolism-
tinap1, Jun 18 2009 10:38 am29 words

I've been told that I have a vitamin B-12 deficiency. I've heard this can affect metabolism. Does anyone know if increasing vitamin B-12 can help with weight loss efforts?

IN the 80's I was given vitamin B supplements by a weight loss program.
I'm sure it did help my metabolism.
but
To much vitamin B can cause neurological problems.

I don't think anyone should begin taking vitamin B w/o the approval of their medical care provider.

Mainly because I now have involuntary movements and that could have stemmed from excessive Vitamin B intake.

Good point! I have a doctor's appointment early next month and will definitely be bringing this up then. I'll keep you posted.

Good.
I'll be interested to hear what he says and how it works out for you.
