Topic: Sled dogs and type 2 diabetes-
tinap1, May 15 2009 8:52 am59 words

I recently read that research is being performed on sled dogs to uncover ways to prevent and treat obesity in people living with type 2 diabetes. The first phase of the research has been completed examining how dogs that train for the 1,100-mile Iditarod become insulin-sensitive and convert fat to energy proficiently. Has anyone else heard about this study?
