Topic: Exercise to prevent macular degeneration?-
tinap1, Apr 1 2009 3:49 pm53 words

We all know that exercise has many benefits, including reducing diabetes-related health conditions. Recent studies have shown that exercise may also help prevent age related macular degeneration and cataracts, both of which can affect vision. This is especially important for those of us living with diabetes. Has anyone else heard of this connection?

No I haven't heard that one.
My mother is nearly blind thanks to that disease.
I remember she use to walk a lot.
Perhaps she's the exception.

I have Macular degeneration too.
My vision is still good.
If its' true that exercise prevents macular degeneration.
Then I hope that exercise will prevent further degeneration for me.

Thanks for that bit of news
