Topic: Vitamin D levels-
tinap1, Mar 4 2009 8:56 am61 words

Vitamin D has been all over the news lately. Now evidence indicates that adequate intake of vitamin D may prevent or delay the onset of diabetes and reduce complications for those who have already been diagnosed, and many people living with diabetes have low vitamin D levels. Has anyone had their vitamin D levels tested? How did you get it tested?

I asked for my vitamin D levels to be tested last Fall when I had a physical that required bloodwork. The office staff balked at first, but then agreed to the test. They said they rarely check vitamin D levels in their patients!
