Topic: Food pairing-

I've been reading lately about how pairing certain foods can help our bodies absorb their vitamins, minerals and antioxidants better than eating each separately. For example, tossing a green leafy veggie into pasta sauce is a great way to add lycopene and vitamin E into our diet. These are two antioxidants that when paired together can reduce the rate at which the body oxidizes LDL ("bad") cholesterol by as much as half. What food combinations do you use and have they had a positive effect on how you manage your diabetes?
