Topic: altitude and blood glucose meters-
LynnGr, Sep 16 2008 1:33 pm87 words

Did you know that your blood glucose meter can be affected by altitude? If you live closer to sea level, and then travel to the mountains, you may find that your blood sugar levels read lower, even though you haven't changed any of your habits. If your vacation plans include a change in elevation, be sure to read the instructions for your blood glucose meter to find out the details. Have you ever personally experienced a change in blood sugar levels when you travel to higher elevations?
