Topic: Myths about eye disease-
tinap1, Sep 13 2008 9:45 am98 words

Just as taking care of our feet and teeth are critical in living a diabetes lifestyle, equally important is eye care. Some common myths about eye disease and people with diabetes include: good "chart" vision means my eyes are healthy; poor vision means diabetes has damaged my eyes; and people with type 1 diabetes lose vision due to diabetes more than those with type 2 diabetes.

What other misconceptions about eye care for those living with diabetes can you share?

How often do you get your eyes examined? What other eye health tips do you have to share?
