Topic: Posting the calorie count of foods in restaurants-
tinap1, Sep 12 2008 8:52 am119 words

This past spring, New York City became the first city in the country to implement a law forcing chain restaurants to post the calorie count of each food in the same size and font as the price. City officials have said the new information on menus will save people from obesity and diabetes. Other cities across the country are following suit with these as well as stricter laws. New laws in Seattle and San Francisco are scheduled to go into effect later this year, requiring restaurants to post information about sodium, carbs, fats and cholesterol in addition to calories.

What do you think about these new laws?

Are they helping or would they help you with your diabetes lifestyle?
