Topic: How Fast Do You Lose Weight?-

The key to weight loss is diet and exercise, as we all know. A healthy lifestyle including those two elements will produce the desired effect. However, everyone is different and the results may take more time for one person than for another.

When following a healthy diet and exercise program, how much weight per week or month do you tend to lose? Do you think this is a healthy rate?

What kinds of things affect your rate of weight loss, either negatively or positively?

Do you think you lose weight faster or slower than most people?

I think 1-2 lbs a week is good. It is slow but steady. I have been losing weight too fast. Lost 20 lbs in one month. I am tired and don't feel well. I have started to add glucura drinks to my meal. I have not been eating enough at a meal. I have usually lost very slowly.

It sounds like you're ready to lose weight more slowly Shelby. Besides adding Glucerna, what other changes do you plan to make?

I've always heard the 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy rate as well. I tend to lose slower than that - maybe a pound a week. It does get frustrating at times, but I try to remind myself that anywhere in a "down" direction is good! If you are losing too quickly and feel ill, perhaps you need to talk it over with your doctor. He or she might be able to help. Sometimes a small change can make a big difference.
