Topic: Having fun with movement-
LynnGr, Aug 27 2008 3:41 pm115 words

At a recent outdoor community concert in the park, every child under the age of 6 spent the entire two hours dancing, running in circles, or hopping around the grass. Just about everyone else spent the two hours sitting on blankets or lawn chairs. Why is it that young children seem to love movement just for the sake of moving around, but as we get older we prefer to sit? We know that increased activity will help us lose weight and maintain a healthy weight, but that knowledge doesn't always translate into action. What can you do to bring some additional movement, and hopefully the fun that goes along with it, back into your life?
