Topic: Is vegan the way to go?-
tinap1, Jul 18 2008 7:26 am100 words

According to a recent study, a low-fat vegan diet proved to be more effective than a standard "diabetes diet." Many people who stick to a vegan diet have been able to achieve improved cholesterol and blood pressure levels, increased energy and natural weight loss. It's also been noted they have an easier time sticking with it than the standard diet because there's no need to limit portion sizes or count calories.

Have you ever thought about adopting a vegan diet?

Have you been successful with a vegan diet or a variation of a vegan diet? Is it hard to maintain?

I have a hard time believing that you don't have to pay attention to portion sizes or calories with a vegan diet in order to lose weight. Just as with any type of diet, someone who is a vegan could choose to eat high calorie foods, overeat, and even eat a lot of processed foods. Just because someone is vegan doesn't necessarily mean they automatically choose a healthy diet, does it?
