Topic: Fitting it in-
ShelleyN, Jul 9 2008 3:08 pm81 words

Exercise is a key component in losing weight. But, sometimes it's difficult to fit in a scheduled work out when our lives are already so busy.

When your schedule doesn't allow for a dedicated work out, do you try to incorporate exercise into your life in other ways?

Do you consider fun activities, like dancing or walking around a mall or store shopping, part of your exercise routine?

Do you have any unique forms of exercise you can share with others?

I never really think about alternative, "fun" types of activity as exercise, but you bring up a good point. I usually schedule my exercise into my calendar so I don't miss it. Of course sometimes I can't make a scheduled session, and I love your idea of finding something fun to do that still gets me moving.

I think I've said this before on here, but my elderly parents love walking around the mall. It's great exercise for them and fun too. Not to mention climate controlled and a flat surface. But even cleaning the house can be exercise if you make it a point to run up and down the stairs. Playing with the kids is a great way to get that workout in as well, and your kids will love it. This is one of my favorites because it also sets a good example for them.
