Topic: Watching What Goes In-
ShelleyN, Jun 16 2008 11:13 pm91 words

People with diabetes need to watch what they put in their bodies - not just food, but medications and supplements as well. Many things contain ingredients that can affect blood glucose levels negatively. You should always discuss your use of over-the-counter medication and supplements with your doctor and/or dietitian.

Do you take alternate, diabetic friendly versions of over-the-counter medications such as cough syrup? Why do you make that choice?

Have you ever had a problem with another prescription medication interfering with your blood sugar control? How did you solve the problem?
