I read an article online about weight loss plateaus and one of the main culprits is a group of brain chemicals called dynorphins. According to the article, as you reach a point of critical weight loss, your brain sees it as a threat and levels of dynorphins increase to help protect against further weight loss. Eating more food has been shown to get you back on track after this happens. Is anyone else aware of the dynorphin and plateau relationship?
