Taking photos was around in 2000 when I begin my journey. There was site you could go to and see people's photos and story. They would update their story and photos every three months. This happened to be a pay site and if you did your story and photo you could get three months free. When I first begin using that site it was free then it was bought by a large weight loss corperation. I did my story once or twice I think.
People would also post about keeping a photo record and how helpful that was. I did it for awhile and life got in the way so after about three times I just stopped taking photos with every 10 lb loss.
I think that doing a photo journal either just for your own eyes or an online one could definitely be helpful.
Blogging: I think blogging would be a helpful thing too. A blog would provide accountability. It would also be a place to sort things out when you need to re-evaluate what your doing. You can also get feedback from people who read your blog. I did it for awhile about a month ago then life got to busy and I dropped it.
For me blogs aren't that helpful. A blog is usually just about you and doesn't have other's posting on the same board. What has been helpful is being able to post what I plan to do, and what I actually did. It was also helpful to respond to other people's posts. I really miss that give and take. I really miss the less structured board.
I'm very grateful to have this place to come to. The question answer format has helped me. but I would love to see some posts that address accountability. Like a place where we could post what we did, and or daily plans. That would make it more community like |
