A study in the September/October issue of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior found that even when we have good intentions to eat healthier foods, when it comes down to actually making a healthy choice we often eat junk food. Researcher asked people to choose between four snacks: an apple, a banana, a candy bar and a molasses waffle. About half said they'd choose the apple or banana. But when they were actually presented with the food, 27% of those who said they'd eat fruit chose a sugary snack. Does this happen to you? Do you find yourself planning to eat something lower calorie, then at the last minute changing your mind? |
