Even people who keep meticulous track of the calories they are consuming each day can fall into hidden fat traps such as popping free samples at the grocery store, putting the leftovers of your child's dinner in your mouth instead of the fridge or mindlessly licking the spoon when making cookies for your friend's party. It can be easy to forget that all of these little indulgences can add big calories to otherwise healthy diets.

Do you have any hidden fat traps that have hindered your weight loss efforts?

Were you aware that these little indulgences were preventing you from losing weight successfully? How did you discover what was going on when the needle on the scale wasn't budging?

You're right that these seemingly innocent little bites of food can add up to more calories than we realize. Someone suggested chewing gum while cooking as a way to stop all of this grazing, and it really works!
