For low blood sugar, I've used both regular food and products designed for treating it. I've found that the products work just fine, but so does food. The problem with food is the temptation to eat too much of it. Personally, I like fruit or fruit juice if it's available. I find I don't want to overeat it (like I might with bread), and it works well. In situations where food might not be available such as driving in the car, I do keep a product on hand to use though. |
