Learning healthy cooking techniques doesn't mean that you have to become a gourmet chef or invest in expensive cookware. A technique such as braising, which involves browning the ingredient first in a pan on top of the stove, then slowly cooking it covered with a small quantity of liquid, can be used often to prepare food in a healthy way, as well as capture the flavor and retain nutrients.

What other healthy cooking techniques do you recommend trying?

What is your favorite healthy cooking technique?

I really like to grill, or better yet, ask my husband to do the grilling! That way I don't have to add any fat, and you can get a lot of flavor.
