Topic: Exercising and Injury-
ShelleyN, Aug 19 2008 11:40 pm79 words

At times, we all experience soreness or an injury. Sometimes, these physical problems can be long lasting and affect other things we want to do.

Has an injury or physical problem ever negatively affected your ability to work-out?

Do you have any chronic and long-lasting problems that affect your ability to exercise? If so, how have you dealt with these issues?

Have you found any tips or tricks to adapting your exercise routine to get around a physical problem?

I've only had short-term injuries that last 2-3 weeks. They're bad enough, because not only does regular exercise help me keep my weight under control, but it's also my primary way to relieve stress. it's really difficult to not sit on the couch and eat potato chips when I'm unable to exercise! I've tried to do other types of activity, such as swimming when I'm unable to run, or trying a Pilates class when I couldn't handle step aerobics. They certainly helped, but I was really glad to get back to my usual activity.
