tinap1, Aug 15 2008 9:15 am95 words

A recent study published in the Public Library of Science showed that meditating turns off stress-related genes, which lessens the occurence of bodily stress responses like high blood pressure or inflammation. This research is big news in that it offers tangiable proof that the mind indeed affects the body. Meditation can mean many things to many people. It can take many forms like relaxation techniques, prayer or peaceful thoughts.

Do you meditate? If so, have you noticed a difference in your blood sugar and overall health as a result?

What meditation technique do you use?
