Topic: Denial?-
ShelleyN, Jul 28 2008 4:51 pm89 words

When first diagnosed, it is normal to think that maybe the tests and doctors are wrong since many people feel fine at that stage. Denial of the disease is often the first reaction people have.

Did you go through denial at the beginning? Why did you think you didn't have diabetes?

How long did that stage last? Did anything in particular help you to learn to accept the diagnosis?

Do you have any tips for others who may have been newly diagnosed and can't quite believe they have it?
