When first diagnosed with a chronic condition like diabetes, it's normal to go through many emotions when reacting to the news. Many people experience depression and other negative feelings before coming to terms with it.

What was your most frequent emotion when you were first diagnosed?

How long did it take you to move through that initial period after diagnosis and onto learning to control the disease?

What things helped you the most as you moved through that stage?
