Topic: Is the scale our enemy?-
tinap1, Jul 8 2008 12:46 pm104 words

If you've recently begun exercising, the scale isn't always your best friend. Exercise builds muscle mass and muscle weighs more than fat, so that needle can start climbing instead of going down, leading us to get discouraged. Experts say to stick to a measuring tape instead because as you lose body fat, you lose inches around your waist, hips, thighs and upper arms.

What method do you use to gauge your weight loss?

How often do you weigh yourself?

Is the scale an accurate reflection of your weight loss, or did you see the numbers climb while you were fitting into your "skinny jeans?"
