Topic: Leisure time physical activity-

As the weather gets nicer you are finding more of your neighbors outside, working in their yards, playing ball with their kids, or taking a walk after dinner. We all know that regular activity is an important component of diabetes self-care, yet statistics from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) show that as a nation we¿re actually spending less time in physical activity. Source: '1998-2006 Non Leisure-Time Physical Activity Trend Chart', US Physical Activity Statistics, http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/physical/stats/leisure_time.htm

Question: Do you find that leisure time physical activity, such as golf, gardening, taking a brisk walk, or playing a recreational sport helps you control your blood sugar levels? What are your favorite leisure time physical activities?

Question: What gets in the way of participating in leisure time physical activity on a regular basis? If you've been able to regularly incorporate leisure time physical activity into your day, what works best for you?
